Project-Specific Quality Control from Tooling to Mass Production

Each project begins with a review of the available drawing or physical sample, part structure, material requirements, dimensions, tolerances and applicable testing requirements. We use the confirmed project requirements to guide mold development, sampling, production and inspection.

Project Review Before Tooling

Before mold development, we review the information available for the project, which may include:

  • 2D/3D drawings or a physical sample
  • Part structure and assembly context
  • Material and performance requirements
  • Critical dimensions and molded-part tolerances
  • Sample and expected production quantities
  • Compliance and testing requirements, where applicable

The review helps identify the technical information that must be confirmed before the tooling and sampling stages. Manufacturability remains subject to engineering review for each project.

Mold Development and Sample Approval

After the project requirements are confirmed, the mold is developed for the agreed part design. Samples are produced and checked internally before they are submitted for customer review.

Mass production begins after sample approval and confirmation of the applicable production requirements.

Production and Inspection

Applicable controls are arranged according to the part, drawing and project requirements. The confirmed process may include:

  • Incoming material inspection
  • First-article inspection
  • Applicable dimensional checks
  • Applicable visual checks during production
  • Pre-shipment inspection
  • Batch traceability records

Inspection scope and sampling methods are confirmed for each project. The process is not described as a guarantee of zero defects.

Project-Specific Testing and Compliance

Withstand-voltage or other electrical testing is confirmed and performed only when required by the customer, drawing or project. Material documentation, compliance requirements and third-party testing are reviewed according to the selected material and agreed project scope.

Do not interpret testing arranged for one project as a standard test for every product.

Mold-Machining and Molded-Part Tolerance Boundary

For applicable projects, our in-house mold-making capabilities support machining accuracy up to ±0.02 mm. This figure describes applicable mold-machining capability, not a universal tolerance for finished molded parts.

Final molded-part tolerances are evaluated according to the customer drawing, material, part structure and production requirements.
